With its clear nod to the past and state-of-the-art ergonomics, the Strandberg Sälen Classic NX electric guitar is sure to find a suitable home in any player's stable. Its swamp ash body captures the snap and punch of a mid-century solidbody, paired with vintage-voiced Suhr Classic T single-coil pickups for some extra punch and "oomph." Much like Strandberg's other headless workhorses, the Sälen Classic NX sports an EndurNeck, facilitating effortless playability across the birdseye maple fingerboard's 24 frets. Top it off with EGS Series 7 hardware for perfect intonation in the studio and on the road, and Strandberg's Sälen Classic NX electric guitar takes the timeless T-style design to new heights.

Strandberg is all about bringing the past into the future, pairing their cutting-edge Sälen body design with vintage-inspired pickups for the Classic NX. A pair of Custom Suhr Classic T single-coils in the neck and bridge deliver classic Tele tone complete with that coveted spank and twang. These Classic Ts are wound around Alnico V magnets with vintage cloth-braided wire and dialed in for warm, punchy tone with a bit of growl as well as clean, snappy highs and mids — the "bread and butter" sound for country and rockabilly, but suited for just about any genre. And with a 3-way pickup selector and master volume and tone controls, you can dial in any sound just how you like.

One-of-a-kind headless design

The Sälen Classic NX's headless design removes mass from the headstock for lower weight and improved balance, so you can play marathon sets in total comfort. On the other end, Strandberg's custom bridge hardware makes an important contribution to the tone of the instrument. Made of lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum, the EGS Series 7 bridge's tight component coupling ensures that all the strings' vibrations are optimally transferred to the tonewoods. 

EndurNeck profile and bolt-on design for comfort and playability

At first glance, Strandberg's acclaimed EndurNeck profile is sure to draw a few questions with its unique shape. Here at Irvine Art & Music, guitarists will all tell you the same thing: the EndurNeck feels even better than it looks. The carbon fiber-reinforced neck sports a rear-shafted trapezoid shape, possessing incredible comfort and noticeable stability. Almost magically, you will feel your grip significantly relax when playing an EndurNeck, leading to longer playing times and fewer injuries. The Sälen Classic NX's bolt-on construction, paired with a deep single-cut design, offers easy access to the upper register for increased playability and a more focused punch — a welcome feature uncommon for many other bolt-on guitars.

Multi-scale birdseye maple fingerboard

The Sälen Classic NX's beautifully figured birdseye maple fingerboard is more than just a feast for the eyes — its multi-scale configuration assigns each string a unique scale length, allowing low strings to intonate better at high tension and making high-string bends a breeze. Not to mention, its 24 jumbo frets are made from stainless steel — a player-favorite fret material for its incredible resistance to wear over time.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items must be returned in the condition they were received, including all accessories, documentation, and packaging materials. Remember that if your order was shipped for free under our free shipping promo, the cost of outbound shipping will be deducted from your return credit. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase to finalize a return.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@irvineartandmusic.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items approved for return may be subject to return shipping costs. Shipping costs will be deducted from the refund balance. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. You have 5 days to report any defects, wrong order, or damage to the shipped order. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:

  • Used Instruments.
  • Books, Tubes, Stylus Needles, Harmonicas, Ear Worn Items, Wood or Plastic Recorders, Mouthpieces, Opened Strings, Reeds or Fog Fluid.
  • Special and Custom Order merchandise (items that are not shown on irvineartandmusic.com or regularly stocked by Irvine Art and Music) may be paid in full on order and cannot be cancelled unless cancellable at the manufacturer and cannot be returned unless defective
  • We reserve the right to deny return privileges to abusers of our policy, including those making excessive returns or returning abused and altered items.

We will gladly special order your item should we not have it as a regularly stocked product, subject to the following policies.

  • All special orders are subject to at least a minimum of a 25% Deposit at the time of order. 
  • NO RETURNS will be accepted on special order or non-stock merchandise.
  • Special order items and deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Special orders CANNOT BE CANCELLED once placed with our suppliers.
  • We are not responsible for production delays or other unforeseen circumstances that delay delivery of any special order.  We will provide an estimate of the lead time required for your item to come in to best of our ability, however we cannot guarantee a lead time in any case.

Customers will be asked to sign a form acknowledging our special order policies and that they have reviewed the order for accuracy.
