The Yamaha SVC-110SK Silent Cello is a compact electric instrument with a chambered spruce body that solves many problems for cellists. It's easy to throw over your shoulder when you're traveling, and its minimalist body virtually eliminates the feedback problems that often plague acoustic cellos when you're performing live. Travel with ease

With the SVC-110SK, Yamaha has solved a headache traveling cellists have always had to deal with: finding space for your instrument. Acoustic cellos, because of their bulk, are especially problematic. The SVC-110SK's slim body fits neatly in its included compact gig bag and will easily fit in your car and in most airplane overhead compartments.

Play silently with full-bodied tone

At Irvine Art & Music Center, we well know that silent practice all too often means tonal compromise. Enter the Silent Cello. With the SVC-110SK, just plug in your headphones, and you'll hear studio-quality cello sound courtesy of Yamaha's piezo pickup and preamp system. Enhanced by a body resonating chamber with a narrow aperture underneath the top board, this full-bodied, nuanced, and natural-sounding tone is served up in a rich, simulated concert hall acoustic environment, without the need for external signal processing. A proprietary Yamaha chip delivers gorgeously warm and natural reverb in three flavors: Room, Medium Hall, and Large Hall.

Play along — connect to a sound system

In addition to its many other features, the Silent Cello is equipped with an auxiliary input as well as line and headphone outputs. To play along with your favorite music, simply connect an external source to the aux input. Connect the line output to an external sound system for live performance. The headphone jack facilitates private practice with lush reverb.

Great live acoustic sound with no feedback

Another benefit of the Silent Cello is what it brings to your live performances. With the onboard reverb effects, you'll send the same miked-up cello sound to your audience that you hear when practicing. We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items must be returned in the condition they were received, including all accessories, documentation, and packaging materials. Remember that if your order was shipped for free under our free shipping promo, the cost of outbound shipping will be deducted from your return credit. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase to finalize a return.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@irvineartandmusic.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items approved for return may be subject to return shipping costs. Shipping costs will be deducted from the refund balance. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. You have 5 days to report any defects, wrong order, or damage to the shipped order. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:

  • Used Instruments.
  • Books, Tubes, Stylus Needles, Harmonicas, Ear Worn Items, Wood or Plastic Recorders, Mouthpieces, Opened Strings, Reeds or Fog Fluid.
  • Special and Custom Order merchandise (items that are not shown on irvineartandmusic.com or regularly stocked by Irvine Art and Music) may be paid in full on order and cannot be cancelled unless cancellable at the manufacturer and cannot be returned unless defective
  • We reserve the right to deny return privileges to abusers of our policy, including those making excessive returns or returning abused and altered items.

SPECIAL ORDER POLICY

We will gladly special order your item should we not have it as a regularly stocked product, subject to the following policies.

  • All special orders are subject to at least a minimum of a 25% Deposit at the time of order. 
  • NO RETURNS will be accepted on special order or non-stock merchandise.
  • Special order items and deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Special orders CANNOT BE CANCELLED once placed with our suppliers.
  • We are not responsible for production delays or other unforeseen circumstances that delay delivery of any special order.  We will provide an estimate of the lead time required for your item to come in to best of our ability, however we cannot guarantee a lead time in any case.

Customers will be asked to sign a form acknowledging our special order policies and that they have reviewed the order for accuracy.
