The "NeXt" Evolution of Strandberg's Flagship Boden

When Strandberg's Boden model first hit the scene just over a decade ago, few could predict the impact these headless guitars would have on the guitar community. Fast forward to today, and the Boden is going stronger than ever, with several models and configurations to choose from to fit your playing needs. The Strandberg Boden Prog NX 6 Electric Guitar builds on the blueprint of its predecessors, with new and improved hardware, exquisite electronics, and even sustainable materials that deliver an unequivocally boutique experience. The Boden Prog NX 6's swamp ash body is joined by maple for the top and neck and Richlite for the fingerboard, familiar to the hands and ears of previous players and comfortable enough for anyone to jump right in and get to work. Two supercharged Suhr pickups shoot the Boden Prog NX 6 to the top of its class — these PAF-style humbuckers fully deliver the trademark fullness and warmth of vintage pickups. Throw in a highly expressive EGS Rev 7 Tremolo for warbles and dives along with stainless-steel frets, and the Strandberg Boden Prog NX 6 solidifies its place as one of Strandberg's highest performing Bodens to date. 

Sweet-sounding tonewoods of the highest quality

Before you even plug in, strum a few chords and pick through a few licks on the Boden Prog NX 6. The resulting sound is nothing short of stellar, courtesy of high-performing tonewoods delivering the perfect combination of phenomenal organic tone, ergonomic design, and effortless playability. To achieve just that, the Boden Prog NX 6 starts with a swamp ash body topped with maple, pumping out laser-focused sounds with good sustain and resonance. Snappy maple was chosen for the neck, outfitted with carbon fiber reinforcement rods for long-lasting durability that stands up to the drastic temperature and humidity changes commonly experienced when touring. Rounding out these top-tier tonewoods is a smooth-as-glass Richlite fingerboard, guaranteed to send your fretting hand from head(less) to heel in no time.

Optimized with superb Suhr pickups

To give the Boden Prog NX 6 its distinct sound, Strandberg equipped it with a pair of highly coveted Suhr pickups. Loaded in the bridge is an SSH+, a tried-and-true high-output humbucker that's fully prepared for everything from dirt-tinged prog licks to destructive deathcore and more. The SSV humbucker's crystal clarity and smooth tone are ideal for the neck position and pair perfectly with the SSH+ — whatever sonic flavor you require, the Boden Prog NX 6's Suhr pickups are a surefire way of achieving the results you seek. 

Balanced headless design

The Boden Prog NX 6's headless design removes mass from the headstock for lower weight and improved balance, so you can play marathon sets in total comfort. On the other end, Strandberg's custom bridge hardware makes an important contribution to the tone of the instrument. Made of lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum, the EGS Rev 7 Tremolo bridge's tight component coupling ensures that all the strings' vibrations are optimally transferred to the tonewoods. 

EndurNeck profile and bolt-on design for comfort and playability

At first glance, Strandberg's acclaimed EndurNeck profile is sure to draw a few questions with its unique shape. Here at Irvine Art & Music, guitarists will all tell you the same thing: the EndurNeck feels even better than it looks. The carbon fiber-reinforced neck sports a rear-shafted trapezoid shape, possessing incredible comfort and noticeable stability. Almost magically, you will feel your grip significantly relax when playing an EndurNeck, leading to longer playing times and fewer injuries. The Boden Prog NX 6's bolt-on construction, paired with a deep double-cut design, offers easy access to the upper register for increased playability and a more focused punch — a welcome feature uncommon for many other bolt-on guitars.

Multi-scale Richlite fingerboard

The fingerboard of a Strandberg is instantly recognizable for its multi-scale configuration that assigns each string a unique scale length. This allows low strings to intonate better at high tension and makes bending high strings a breeze. The Boden Prog NX 6's EndurNeck is capped by a 20-inch-radius Richlite fingerboard with a 25–25.5-inch scale length. Not to mention, its 24 jumbo frets are made from stainless steel — a player-favorite fret material for its incredible resistance to wear over time.

Shipping & Returns

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items must be returned in the condition they were received, including all accessories, documentation, and packaging materials. Remember that if your order was shipped for free under our free shipping promo, the cost of outbound shipping will be deducted from your return credit. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase to finalize a return.

Items approved for return may be subject to return shipping costs. Shipping costs will be deducted from the refund balance. Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. You have 5 days to report any defects, wrong order, or damage to the shipped order. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:

  • Used Instruments.
  • Books, Tubes, Stylus Needles, Harmonicas, Ear Worn Items, Wood or Plastic Recorders, Mouthpieces, Opened Strings, Reeds or Fog Fluid.
  • Special and Custom Order merchandise (items that are not shown on irvineartandmusic.com or regularly stocked by Irvine Art and Music) may be paid in full on order and cannot be cancelled unless cancellable at the manufacturer and cannot be returned unless defective
  • We reserve the right to deny return privileges to abusers of our policy, including those making excessive returns or returning abused and altered items.

We will gladly special order your item should we not have it as a regularly stocked product, subject to the following policies.

  • All special orders are subject to at least a minimum of a 25% Deposit at the time of order. 
  • NO RETURNS will be accepted on special order or non-stock merchandise.
  • Special order items and deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Special orders CANNOT BE CANCELLED once placed with our suppliers.
  • We are not responsible for production delays or other unforeseen circumstances that delay delivery of any special order.  We will provide an estimate of the lead time required for your item to come in to best of our ability, however we cannot guarantee a lead time in any case.

Customers will be asked to sign a form acknowledging our special order policies and that they have reviewed the order for accuracy.
